Hello and welcome!

I’m Elizabeth Mullin, a passionate and dedicated Certified Zentangle™ Teacher (CZT), committed to helping individuals discover the joy and tranquility of Zentangle™ art. With a lifelong love for drawing and a deep appreciation for the meditative aspects of art creation, I founded my Zentangle™ classes to share this transformative practice with others.

My Journey with Zentangle™

My artistic journey began many years ago, exploring various mediums and techniques to express creativity and find personal peace. It was during this exploration that I discovered Zentangle™, a unique drawing method that perfectly blends structured patterns with free-flowing creativity. Captivated by its simplicity and profound benefits, I pursued certification to become a Zentangle™ teacher, eager to guide others in this enriching practice.

The Zentangle™ process emphasizes mindfulness and relaxation, allowing artists to create intricate, beautiful designs without the pressure of perfection.

The Zentangle™ Method

Zentangle is a unique drawing method that combines structured patterns with a meditative process,

allowing you to create intricate, beautiful artworks without the need for extensive artistic training.

  • It's fun

  • It's simple to learn

  • Structured Patterns (Tangles)

  • No Mistakes, Only Discoveries

  • There are no preplanned outcomes yet

  • You always know what to do next

  • The result is unexpected and beautiful . . . . . .

  • and all this occurs with mindfulness and relaxation

When you create using the Zentangle™ Method, you also discover new skills and abilities as you create your beautiful and unexpected results.

It enables you to deliberately access a state of relaxed focus, awaken your imagination, and express it creatively with confidence.

Additional significant benefits include physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing. Reduce stress and promote calm while enhancing creativity.

Mindful

Creativity

Zentangle encourages mindfulness and presence. As you draw repetitive patterns, you become fully immersed in the process, which can be both relaxing and therapeutic.

Patterns

Zentangle patterns are often simple and repetitive, yet they can be combined in countless ways to create complex and visually appealing compositions. Each pattern has a unique name, and artists can explore new ones or stick to their favorites.

No

Mistakes

One of the core principles of Zentangle is that there are no mistakes. If you make an unexpected mark, you can incorporate it into your design. This mindset fosters creativity and reduces self-criticism.

Materials

Zentangle requires minimal materials: a fine-tip pen, a piece of paper, and patience. You can create Zentangle art on small tiles or larger sheets, depending on your preference.
